So hey! Just found this comic this week and I love everything about it: the colors, the huge expanse of incredible story line I sense and have already glimpsed, the Diver and Charlie, and the comments. Ha…which I don’t know if they count as part of the comic itself, but thanks to them I’ve been over every page many times looking for those small details after the initial oh-wow-that’s-some-hot-comic-right-thur.
Also! I love how bubbly and eerily-colored the water is. And hooray for the lack of excessive back hair. D:
Had to look up “trypophobia” even though this reminded of some lotos-seed-like-holes-in-body-parts-images I once saw. Somehow not pleasant to look at. On the other hand, any holes in a body that shouldn’t be there are unpleasant to look at, at least for me.
That said…
There’s something even more disturbing for me, as the last panel makes undeniably clear: The diver is hollow! =8-(_)
I googled it and now may never sleep again. I thought “that is a pretty dumb thing to have as a phobia” until I looked at the pictures and almost had a panic attack. Who knew!
Anybody read much Dresden Files? A figment of the main character’s psyche could make cold water feel hot, among other manipulations of the mind, hallucinations and all. Best of all, she didn’t even have to be “physically present” to make it happen. So the protagonist had to call out his own mind on what he was perceiving, sometimes.
Little detail I appreciated: You were keeping the chest hair in a consistent pattern earlier, but now that he’s in the shower it’s all being pulled downward by the water. Good realism.
Well that can’t be good.
Wouldn’t the water fall into him……..D8>
If he can even feel back there!
This is probably the best page so far. The colours are especially stunning. <3
I guess that makes him…
(puts on sunglasses)…
HOLY!!!
YYEEEEAAAAAHHHH!!!
XD
So many Holey Diver jokes
You’re telling me. I had no idea there were so many Dio fans in the house.
And they’re just gonna keep on comin’ :P
I wonder if those are the holes through which pieces of the diver escaped.
This is also my favourite page so far too! The movement and the details and the very sexy man. Not to forget the ominous holes in his back.
what black holes? no idea what you are talking about.
Eugh man the placement of those holes is so… weird and creepy.
Urghalksdj, I looked at this again and physically shivered.
Oh man, gross! Mystery Holes.
dun dun duuun!

Now besides the ultra sexy panel 2, I’m really digging the colours and linework here.
They seem very vivid and smooth.
Also, Holey Diver, Batman! That is really creepy/kind of strange to look at. Makes me cringe/feel sick.
AWESOME JOB YOU GUYS!
Haha whoops! I guess I meant panel 3. :P
He’s showering in Dr.Pepper. 8D
:9
:3C
Have you been reading Ms. Helmer’s blog, too?
=|:38 (added a top hat to make him look more dapper.)
naturally! kitty faces are pretty common enough though.

Awesome comic, great page! But, eurgh, I actually shuddered when I saw those holes. creeepy. D:
Omg tell me you know someone that looks like that, absent the creepy holes, send him my way. Gay or not he’s getting molested! XD
Did your numbers take a hit after you posted this one and all the trypophobes bailed?
Fantastic page, ‘specially the juxtaposition of serene, dreamy panel 3 and horrible panel 4.
It actually exploded them in a good way! I was pleasantly surprised. We’ll see if everyone runs away from now on, though.

It’s okay it’s just the steam opening his skin pores up

The holes look like what’s leftover when botfly larvae (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botfly) are removed from the body xD
Oh sweet, a shower sceAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH
(just found the comic, love it!)
The bear had an hole, too
